Who can join the membership?
The Impact Membership is designed for dedicated user researchers who are passionate about driving strategic business impact through their work. To ensure the community remains focused and valuable for all members, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Your primary role involves user research.
We welcome professionals who are dedicated to conducting, analyzing, and delivering research insights. Unfortunately, we don’t accept applicants whose roles only involve research as a partial responsibility.
You actively lead or contribute to research projects.
If you oversee a team that includes user researchers but don’t actively conduct or lead research yourself, you wouldn’t be eligible to join. However, applications from your full-time research team members are encouraged!
You don’t work for a research vendor.
This ensures members can speak openly, share experiences freely, and avoid any conflicts of interest, keeping the community’s value intact.
You agree to our membership rules.
By applying, you confirm that you’ve read and will uphold our rules to maintain a respectful, supportive, and collaborative space for all members.
What is the annual membership fee and how is it used?
The annual Club membership fee is £627 per year. The membership fee is used to fund the day-to-day running of the membership, guest speakers, and one project each year that evolves the practice of research.
What if I join mid-year?
You start with this month’s focus. No need to catch up. But, if you want to, every session is recorded and kept so you can listen back any time you want.
What if I can’t attend live?
You’ll get the replay, plus the framework and community prompts.
Is this beginner-friendly?
It’s built for mid-to-senior researchers but if you're an early-career UXR looking to grow fast, you'll still get a ton out of it.
Can I expense this?
Yes. Most members do and I’ve created these templates to help you out.
Do you offer team memberships?
Yes! We love having a whole team onboard. We offer the following team discounts:
5 to 9 members from the same team receives a discount of 5%
10 to 19 members from the same team receives a discount of 10%
20 or more members from the same team receives a discount of 20%
The annual team membership fee must be paid in a single transaction. Your annual renewal fee may change based on the number of members that you renew on your team. If a member leaves the team, memberships seats are transferrable.
